YEREVAN. – Rescuers from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia have not traveled to Georgia for help, the ministry news service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

We were told that they are in constant contact with the Georgians, and the latter have said there is no need yet for assistance. 

The ministry also informed that, at present, there are no Armenians among victims of the flood in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia.

The Armenian ministry, however, is in hourly contact with Tbilisi.

The devastating flood in Georgia’s capital city had occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, as unprecedented heavy rains caused the River Vere to burst its banks.
