Within their framework of their working visit to Luxembourg, Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan, Armenia Development Fund (ADF) Director Arman Khachaturyan, and Armenia’s Trade Representative to the European Union, Varos Simonyan, met with the European Investment Bank (EIB) Director General Klaus Trömel, who also heads the EIB Directorate for Operations in the European Union and Candidate Countries.
Trömel stressed that the minister of economy is the first Armenian government member to visit the EIB and this is very symbolic, reported the ADF news service.
Chshmarityan, for his part, underscored the continuity of the ongoing EIB programs in Armenia, and the prospects for making Armenia-EIB cooperation grow deeper.
Next, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the European Investment Bank and the Armenia Development Fund.
