YEREVAN. – The Armenian parliament observed a minute of silence to honor victims of devastating flood in Tbilisi.

“A devastating flood in Tbilisi claimed lives of several people. By sharing pain of the Georgian nation, I offer to observe a minute of silence to honor the victims,” Speaker Galust Sahakyan said.

The devastating flood in Georgia’s capital city had occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, as unprecedented heavy rains caused the River Vere to burst its banks. More than 10 people were killed. Earlier Armenian Ambassador to Georgia said two Armenian woman were among casualties.
