YEREVAN. – Speaker of the Armenian parliament described as “gray and senseless” the remarks by head of Electric Networks of Armenia Yevgeniy Bibin.

In his recent interview Bibin said they had pointed to financial problems in the power system 2-3 years ago, but the authorities did not respond.

“For some reason head of Electric Networks thought that he is accused of crimes. I think it was necessary to act more carefully. It was better to say nothing than to say this,” Galust Sahakyan said.

Armenia's Public Services Regulatory Commission plans to increase electricity rate by 6.93 drams instead of 17 drams as proposed by the Electric Networks of Armenia.
