President Vladimir Putin will be informed about the reports about killing of a Russian serviceman in Armenia's Gyumri, his spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Asked by reporters, Peskov said he has no information whether the president had been already briefed on the incident, but media reports “will be definitely included in digest”.

Russian military serviceman Ivan Novikov was found dead on Monday at the backside of the 102nd Russian Military Base in Gyumri. Deputy commander of the military base, Aleksei Polyukhovich said one person is detained in connection with the murder.
