YEREVAN. – One can accept or not the move by Shahen Harutyunyan, but it is clear he was doing it for his father, Deputy Speaker of the Armenian parliament Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters.

Shahen Harutyunyan, the son of sentenced United National Initiative leader and activist Shant Harutyunyan, invaded the field during Armenia vs. Portugal match carrying a poster demanding release for his father.

“In terms of football rules, we will see whether UEFA will fine us or not,” Deputy Speaker said.

Asked how perception of Armenia can change after world famous Cristiano Ronaldo read the poster, Sharmazanov said: “For me world famous is Henrikh Mkhitaryan”.
