The Russian media reported the name of a Russian soldier accused of killing Ivan Novikov, a fellow serviceman at at the backside of the 102nd Russian Military Base in Gyumri, the second largest city of Armenia.

According to the Russian media reports, he is Ivan Boskhomidjev. The account on social network suggests that he is a 21-year-old native of Astrakhan, a city in Russia's south.

Earlier the Russian Armed Forces said he had pleaded guilt to the murder.

The Armenian and Russian parties have both launched criminal proceedings in connection with this incident, and on murder charges.
