YEREVAN. – Air ticket prices reduced by almost 16 percent by April 2015 as compared to December, Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said.

Overall, the prices went down by 14 percent over a year, and increased in the end of last year because of sharp increase in dollar rate.

Last year the passenger flow increased by 20.9 percent and exceeded 2 million, while flight frequency increased by 19.3 percent.

“The flight frequency decreased by 13 % this April as compared with last year, but passenger flow went up,” Minister said, adding that this proves efficiency of the open skies policy.
