YEREVAN. - Boris Muradyan, the former co-owner of Armenia’s Karen Demirchyan Sport and Concert Complex, is struggling in the courts to invalidate the Armenian government decision and regain the property of the Complex.

Muradyan’s attorney Armine Hakobyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am that currently they are struggling in the legal framework.  

“We are struggling in all judicial instances. We have also submitted a case to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). Loan obligations are involved in the case. The state filed a lawsuit to get loan and won the case, after which the Complex was taken away and transferred to Armenia’s Ministry of Defense. We are appealing this very decision at the ECHR,” Hakobyan said, declining to share other details of the case.

According to the decision of the Armenian government, Karen Demirchyan Sport and Concert Complex was transferred to Armenia’s Defense Ministry on 21 August 2014, after being put on auction for the 7th time and finding no purchaser.
