YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Economy of Armenia wishes to make several well-known low-cost airlines focus on Shirak Airport of Gyumri city.
Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan noted the abovementioned at Tuesday’s parliamentary debates of the drafts amendments to the Law on Aviation.
In particular, Armenia is holding respective talks with Wizz Air (Hungary), EasyJet (UK), and Vueling (Spain) low-cost airlines.
“We hope to achieve results before the end of the year,” the minister added.
