YEREVAN. – The Russian air companies are not closing space for the other companies in Armenia, Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said during the debates on aviation law.

There are only eight Russian air companies out of 24 flying to Armenia, he said. Another thing is that the Russian direction is sufficiently loaded, but the activity and operations in other areas are increasing.

There are more flights to Lebanon, while Greek Aegean Air, that was not working in Armenia for a long time, has launched flights to Athens. The number of passenger seats for Yerevan were increased by Air France and Austrian Airlines companies.
