The Moscow City Court on Wednesday granted the motion for an official pardon to Artur Mirzoyan, who had fired shots toward the Turkish embassy in the Russian capital city.

Mirzoyan’s attorney, Georgi Shatvoryan, told the aforementioned to Moskva (Moscow) news agency.

“Mirzoyan is released in connection with the amnesty,” Shatvoryan added.

Earlier, the court had sentenced Mirzoyan to two years in prison.

According to the investigation report, on August 18, 2014, Artur Mirzoyan had fired shots to the façade of the Embassy of Turkey in Moscow, and on which there was the coat of arms of Turkey. Mirzoyan had pleaded guilty.
