STEPANAKERT. – In accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan

The monitoring was held on Wednesday at the Omar Pass.

From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was conducted by Field Assistant Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic) of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office (CiO), Personal Assistant Simon Tiller (Great Britain) to Personal Representative of the CiO, and by Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Nepokritikh (Russia), who is a representative of the OSCE High-Level Planning Group (HLPG).

From the opposite side of the Line of Contact, the monitoring was held by Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, who is Personal Representative of the OSCE CiO, his Field Assistant Khristo Khristov (Bulgaria), and by Colonel Tuncay Sevim (Turkey), who is another representative of the OSCE HLPG.

The monitoring passed in accordance with the agreed schedule, and no ceasefire violation was recorded.

From the NKR side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
