YEREVAN. – CSTO is informed about the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone, organization's chief Nikolay Bordyuzha said during the Moscow-Astana-Yerevan space bridge.

Asked by Azerbaijani reporter about possible role of CSTO, Bordyuzha said there are international mechanisms, including the OSCE Minsk Group.

“I am absolutely confident that other institutes do not have participate in order not to bring misunderstanding. The international community has entrusted the Minsk Group,” CSTO Secretary General said.

CSTO Secretary General noted that the organization has data about the situation, aware of what is happening and receives data about the number of shootings and the killed. Nikolay Bordyuzha said that the conflict is fraught with negative development.

“But the CSTO can not interfere because of not having sufficient mandate,” he said.

At the same time Nikolay Bordyuzha emphasized that Armenia is a full member of CSTO and has thr right to get assistance from CSTO colleagues in case of negative development of the situation on its territory.

As to possible military actions in “hot spots”, CSTO chief stated such developments are categorically unacceptable: “ Arms can not achieve a solution neither in Karabakh, Transnistria nor in other places It is possible at some point to achieve tactical advantage, but this blood is for years.”
