YEREVAN. – Armenia, consistently assisting in the formation of a democratic society, has always stressed the importance of collaborating with European organizations.
President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Galust Sahakyan, noted the abovementioned at the Rose-Roth seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which got underway Thursday in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.
In his words, the Armenian parliament adheres to the policy of bringing the country’s laws into line with European standards.
“Cooperation between the National Assembly of Armenia and the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO began back in May 2002. The Rose-Roth seminars already have been held in Armenia in 2005 and 2010,” Sahakyan stressed. “As for the [Nagorno-]Karabakh conflict, it shall be resolved solely through peace.”
