YEREVAN. – The second reading of the draft bill on excise duties will be postponed till fall, Armenian Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said in the parliament on Monday.

Amendments to the law on excise duties proposed by Finance Ministry suggest rising excise duties on vodka, cigarettes, petrol and diesel fuel, as well as to set up excise tax on compressed natural gas.

The draft bill was slammed not only by the opposition, but even ruling party MPs, although it has been supported by them in the second reading.
