YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) of Armenia on Tuesday voted in favor of the government bill for the privatization of Haypost company, which is the national postal service operator of the country.

The bill passed at the NA by a vote of 61 for, 6 against, and 16 abstentions.

At present, the operator is under Haypost Trust Management, which is overseen by Argentinean Armenian businessman Eduardo Eurnekian.

One hundred percent of the shares of Haypost belong to the Armenian state.
