The protest actions against hike in electricity prices was covered even by the media in Angola.
More than 5,000 people took to the streets, reported Portal de Angola, a Portuguese-language website.
“People went out to protest against the rise in electricity price for 17-22%. Some protesters blocked one of the main avenues of the city, ignoring police warnings. Water cannons were used against them. At least 18 people were injured. Police arrested about 250 people. Protests against the price hike of electricity began on Friday,” the website writes.
