YEREVAN. - Protestor Tigran Madoyan was not arrested, but information has been received about his disappearance, Yerevan Chief of Police Ashot Karapetyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am today.
According to Karapetyan, Madoyan’s mother had reported on his son’s disappearance, after which mother and son turned themselves in to Yerevan’s Shengavit Police Department. The protestor’s mother didn’t know her son was in Baghramyan Avenue then.
Earlier the sit-in participants announced that protestor Tigran Madoyan had been arrested and taken to Yerevan’s Shengavit Department.
On Tuesday evening at 19:00, the citizens gathered in Yerevan’s Baghramyan Avenue, blocked it and are still demanding to cancel the decision on electricity price hike adopted on June 17.
