YEREVAN - General Department of Armenia’s Civil Aviation is going to discuss with foreign airline companies the issue of night flights into the country, as mentioned in the Department spokesman response to the written inquiry of Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“This issue should be discussed with foreign airline companies, which perform flights to Armenia. Their position will become clear as a result,” the Department spokesperson noted.

During the Armenia government session on July 16, Armenia’s PM Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the necessity to shift the flights to Armenia to more convenient hours.  According to the PM, many international flights are performed at night, which creates inconveniencies for those who arrive, including tourists. Abrahamyan instructed a number of agencies to start talks with airline companies in order to solve the issue.
