16 children were hospitalized from a children’s camp in Armenia’s Vayots Dzor province. The children were taken to the contagious isolation ward of Vayk hospital with complaints of gastrointestinal upset.

The children’s condition was moderately severe and mild, as reported by Armenia’s Ministry of Healthcare.

Healthcare Ministry specialist group headed to the scene and found out that 2 children had dizziness and ran temperature a day before being taken to hospital. Treatment was organized but in the morning all the 16 children were hospitalized.

Food and water samples have been taken to determine the source of contamination. Besides, disinfection measures have been taken.

All the hospitalized children have already been discharged.
