The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, announced a moratorium on an increase in staff and salaries for the next three years.

“But if the [financial] situation is resolved sooner and there will be other circumstances, we will address it,” the Kazakh president specifically stated during a consultation with the heads of large enterprises, reported Interfax news agency.
Nazarbayev also announced that Kazakhstan’s budget will get 264 billion tenge (approx. $1.3 billion)-less allocations in the current year.
