YEREVAN. – UK Ambassador to Armenia Katherine Leach had a farewell meeting with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

President Sargsyan thanked the Ambassador for her efforts toward the consolidation of Armenian-British relations and effective cooperation resulted in an active political dialogue, reinforced interparliamentary ties, progress and in trade and economic relations.

The President also commended cooperation of Ambassador Leach with the civil society of Armenia. He wished Katherine Leach every success in her future activities, expressing confidence that she will remain a friend of Armenia.

In turn, Ms. Leach thanked Armenian leader for the kind words and the high evaluation of her activities. She assured that, in the course of her work in Armenia she tried to exert maximum efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, and, in the course of her future work would use the experience gained in Armenia for the benefit of Armenia and in the name of peace and stability in the region.
