The residents of border settlements of Armenia’s Tavush Province are unable to gather the grape harvest due to shooting from Azerbaijan across the border.
Days ago, the residents of Paravakar town miraculously survived when the adversary had started shelling while collecting the grape harvest in the vineyards. As a result, the car of one grape farmer was completely destroyed by fire, whereas those gathering the grape harvest had barely managed to move to a safe place.
And months ago, the Berdavan village residents had lost their wheat and barley crops as a result of a hailstorm.
The chief agronomist of the province told Armenian News-NEWS.am that even though the gardens, croplands, homes and buildings of Archis, Lchkadzor, Ayrum, and Berdavan villages were completely damaged from the hailstorm, compensation was allocated solely for the damaged buildings.
