President of France Francois Hollande has called on European countries, Russia and Iran to unite in order to settle conflict in Syria, TASS reported.
Speaking during the plenary session of the European Parliament, Hollande said the Syrian drama “concerns all of us.”
Europe must unite for the humanitarian, political and diplomatic plan. Together with those who are interested, “we must create a political future so that the Syrian people could have an alternative to Bashar Assad and the Islamic state”, he said.
The French leader also addressed the leaders in the Persian Gulf, Russia, Iran, U.S. and Europe urging them to continue acting to achieve success in the fight against terrorists.
