YEREVAN. – Obligations of the new proprietor of the  Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC have increased after the respective business deal.

Accordingly, the buyer company has also assumed new commitments which may be essential for the improvement of the financial condition of these networks. 

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia press service informed about the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In particular, the new owner’s obligations will include the reduction of the ENA’s technological losses by at least 2 percent.  

In addition, the proprietor shall not allow an increase in commercial losses, as compared to the 2014/15 tariff year.

Furthermore, and within the next five years, the new owner shall introduce international ISO standards, and substantially improve the company’s quality management and energy system.

To note, Tashir Group, which belongs to Moscow-based Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, has recently purchased the ENA from the Russian state-owned Inter RAO Holding B. V.
