Armenia has always met Serbia’s requests within international organizations, and it expects a reciprocal approach from the Serbian side.

President of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Galust Sahakyan, on Tuesday noted the aforesaid at his talk in Geneva, Switzerland, with President Maja Gojković of the NA of Serbia.

Their talk was held along the lines of the 133rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Subsequently, Sahakyan briefed his Serbian counterpart on the ongoing developments regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and stated that Armenia supports a pacific solution of problems.

The speaker of the Armenian parliament also thanked yet again for the Serbian president’s attendance to the Armenian Genocide Centennial commemorations that were held in April in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

In addition, Galust Sahakyan invited Gojković to Armenia.

The head of the Serbian NA, for her part, expressed thanks for the effective work with Armenia within international organizations. 

She also accepted Sahakyan’s invitation to Armenia. 

At the end of the talk, Maja Gojković expressed a heartfelt gratitude to the Armenian side, “that it assists us in Serbia’s identity and many issues that are very important to us.”
