Villagers of Armenia’s Tavush province, who suffered as a result of shootings from the Azerbaijani side, haven’t yet received compensation, although the government decision thereon was taken 2 weeks ago.

The villagers will start receiving the money next week, the regional administration representatives told Armenian News – NEWS.am.  “Now the documents are being drawn out and individual accounts are opening for citizens who suffered damages,” the regional administration representatives said.

On October 8, the Armenian government adopted a decision on compensation to the villages bordering with Azerbaijan, which were damaged as a result of firing. According to the decision, 586 families whose houses were damaged as a result of shootings, will get compensation.
