Russia, together with Serbian nationalists, is participating in the anti-government protests in Montenegro, and which are aimed at the change of power in the country.

The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, told the aforesaid to the HRT periodical.

“There is no doubt that Russia continues to play an active role in the anti-government demonstrations in [the Montenegrin capital city of] Podgorica,” Đukanović said. 

He added, however, that he has no intention to leave his office, reported Lenta.ru, a Moscow-based online newspaper.

On October 24, the Montenegrin police used tear gas and stun grenades to disperse the protesters demanding Đukanović’s resignation.

As a result, medical assistance was rendered to 15 police officers and 24 civilians.
