YEREVAN. – According to information released by the Central Bank of Armenia, the country’s international reserves were a mere 1 billion 625 million 500 thousand US dollars in late September this year, reported Haykakan Zhamanak daily.

“This is over 20 million-dollar less than the indicator recorded in August.

“The level of [Armenia’s] international reserves recorded in September this year is the lowest in the September indicators at least for the last four years. 

“Note that the downward trend of our international reserves has become chronic since the beginning of last year. They are replenished from time to time with the money received from the sale of [the country’s] large properties and from international loans, but this does not change the overall downward trend of [Armenia’s] international reserves,” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
