YEREVAN. – It does not matter whether or not Azerbaijan is officially a member in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). It is all the same; it cooperates with all the EEU countries.

Ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (RPA NA) Faction member Manvel Grigoryan, who is also Chairman of the Yerkrapah (Defender of the Land) Volunteer Union, told the abovementioned to reporters on Tuesday.

“Azerbaijan collaborates with both Russia and Kazakhstan; except for us [i.e. Armenia], [it collaborates] with everyone, with all occurrences—social, economic, arms,” the RPA MP said. “It de jure collaborates with all of them for years; [but] de facto, I don’t know.”

The Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan, Sevinc Hasanova, had told reporters that the country considered its joining the EEU to be possible.

The current EEU member countries are Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and most recently, Kyrgyzstan.
