YEREVAN. - Russia won’t make concessions to the disadvantage of Armenia for the sake of Azerbaija’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, ruling Republican  Party of Armenia (RPA) faction head Vahram Baghdasaryan told Armenian New – NEWS.am.

“I don’t think we should have such a concern. It’s not at all the case that Russia is making certain agreements with Azerbaijan to the disadvantage of Armenia,” he said.

“This is a process in which all the EEU states should be involved. No such thing has happened yet, there is no ratification and this is not a subject for discussion,” Baghdasaryan said.

He refused to jump ahead of the events, declining to respond to the question on whether Armenia will be ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the framework of the EEU.

Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Sevinj Hasanova had earlier told Russian media that Azerbaijan considers it possible to join the EEU.

Hasanova had stressed that it’s first of all necessary to analyze the pros and cons of acceding to such organizations and thoroughly assess Azerbaijan’s participation in it.
