Germany would like to put further efforts into solution of Karabakh conflict during its presidency over OSCE in 2016, German Federal Foreign Office representative said in Yerevan.

“In all our interest, mostly in the interest of Armenia and Azerbaijan, is to come to a solution of this conflict, it is very unfortunate because it hinders potential for development on both sides of the border,” Mr. Andreas Peschke said, recalling that Germany is a member of the OSCE Minsk Group.

German Federal Foreign Office Director for Eastern Europe said they are very concerned about recent escalation and urge the parties to do what they can to build trust and avoid escalation,

“It is not an issue of a year to find solution, but may be it is possible to make some practical progress,” he added.
