The residents of Armenia’s Tavush Province, and who suffered material damage as a result of the most recent shelling by Azerbaijan, have already begun to receive compensation.
The Tavush Provincial Council informed the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am. They informed that sixteen border communities of the province have suffered material damage during the abovementioned shelling in September.
A professional commission of experts had studied, assessed, and calculated the respective damages.
Subsequently, the Tavush Provincial Council had submitted these calculations to the Government of Armenia.
And on October 8, the Cabinet had decided to allocate funds to the Tavush Provincial Council in order to compensate the damages and repair some other ones.
The respective paperwork is completed, and the amounts are being transferred to the recipients by way of the relevant bank accounts that have been opened.
