YEREVAN. – During its presidency over OSCE, Germany will continue supporting the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group, Federal Foreign Office Director for Eastern Europe, Ambassador Andreas Peschke said in Yerevan.

Mr. Peschke noted importance of implementing the events targeted at strengthening of trust and security during his meeting with Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Garen Nazarian.

The sides discussed Armenia-Germany relations and underscored necessity of working in different areas, including culture, education, political area, development of inter-parliamentary ties.

Garen Nazarian touched upon regional developments, briefed the German official on gross violations of ceasefire regime by Azerbaijan on the border with Armenia and line of contact with Karabakh. He added that Baku is reluctant to stop voicing threats and continues propaganda of hatred not creating favorable conditions for the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group to reach peaceful solution of the conflict.

The sides agreed to continue effective political dialogue as well as cooperation in different formats and platforms.
