President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by First Lady Rita Sargsyan, will travel to Georgia on a working visit.

Within the framework of the trip, Sargsyan will meet with his Georgian colleague, Giorgi Margvelashvili, as well as PM Irakli Garibashvili, and chairperson David Usupashvili of the Parliament of Georgia.

At the Georgian presidential residence in capital city Tbilisi, the leaders of the two countries will make a joint statement for the press, reported Gruzia Online news agency of Georgia.

The main topic of the visit, however, remains unknown at this time.

President Sargsyan may discuss Armenia’s involvement in a regional project of supplying Iranian natural gas to Georgia through a transit route.

There were media reports Wednesday that the Iranian gas may be supplied to Georgia via Armenia.
