YEREVAN. - The requirement for stamps will be completely abolished for business operating in Armenia, Armenia’s Minister of Economy Karen Chshmaritian told Armenian News – NEWS.am after the government session Thursday, referring to the progress of the country in the recent rating of the World Bank’s Doing Business – 2016, where the republic moved up from 38th to 35th position.

According to him, Armenia is in the 5th place according to the easiness of registration, but this is still to be improved. Specifically, pursuant to the law, the stamp requirement for business was cancelled in Armenia long ago, but the business still continues using it mechanically. “The business and the authorities, which it deals with, still have old perceptions on stamps. When this disappears entirely, the registration will get easier,” the Minister said.
