YEREVAN. - Mher Mkrtumyan, Head of the Staff at the State Committee on Water Economy in Armenia’s Agriculture Ministry, who was hit in an accident Sunday, died in the hospital today, head doctor of Armenia’s No 1 Heratsi University Hospital Complex Karen Sahakyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

According to him, the condition of Gayane Mktumyan, Mkrtumyan’s wife, is stable and positive dynamics has been observed.

Case files are prepared with regard to the accident and the circumstances are being clarified, Armenia’s Investigative Committee press-service representatives told Armenian News – NEWS.am.  

Hayk G., 35, while driving a vehicle, on Sunday hit husband and wife Mher, 38, and Gayane, 36, Mkrtumyan in downtown Yerevan.

The driver’s brother told Armenian News – NEWS.am that the couple was crossing the street from a prohibited sector.
