YEREVAN. - During the constitutional amendments, the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is ready to cooperate with any political force which expresses such wish, parliament Vice Speaker and the ruling RPA Spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told Armenian News – NEWS.am after the RPA executive body session today. According to him, the voting on draft constitutional amendments showed that such political forces are many.

Referring to the criticism on the amendments to the Law on ID Cards in terms of the fear that those may give an opportunity of repeated voting, Sharmazanov said that the 183,000 citizens who have ID cards must have an opportunity to exercise their constitutional right.

“The current Electoral Code gives a full opportunity to control the election process, the observers, commission members and proxies. If a certain political force has no sufficient number of proxies to control the process and doesn’t trust the proxies, it’s their issue,” Sharmazanov said.

According to the Spokesman, all the RPA MPs of the party are included in the campaign.  He also said that an extraordinary RPA Executive session will be held on November 10.
