YEREVAN. – Armenia welcomes the Paraguayan Senate’s recognition of Armenian Genocide.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, has issued a statement in this regard.

“The continuous expansion of the Armenian Genocide’s international recognition shows that crimes against humanity have no statute of limitations, and even one hundred years after the Armenian Genocide, humanity continues to recognize and condemn this crime.

“With this step, the Senate of Paraguay has made an important contribution to the international efforts in the prevention of genocides and crimes against humanity,” the Armenian FM stressed in his statement.
