YEREVAN. - According to the results of this year's social opinion poll carried out by the Integration Barometer research program, 41% of Armenia’s population is more positive about Armenia’s accession to the EEU. President of the “Armenian Marketing Association” NGO, Aram Navasardyan, informed the aforementioned at a press conference today.

He also said that the opinions on the EEU membership are more negative this year in comparison with the previous three years.

According to Navasardyan, 15% of respondents were absolutely positive about Armenia’s accession to the EEU, 29% were indifferent, 8% being more negative. Besides, 2% of respondents said they were absolutely negative about it, and 5% found it difficult to answer.

55% of respondents were for a common currency, 35% being against it.

Concluding the results of 2015 May social opinion polls, Navasardyan said 47,1% of the respondents said they trust and will buy local production goods, 35% preferred Russian goods, 24,7% - German, 8,1% Chinese and only 6,9% Turkish goods.

In Nalbandyan’s words, Armenians are neither pro-Russian nor pro-European, but pragmatic.
