The Azeri, who was among those who fired at Armenians in Bashkiria’s city of Salavat, suffered conviction. His name is Naghim Shakirogli Mamedov and he is 34 years old (b. 1981). Arkadi Dalaryan, Chairman of the Bashkirian Regional Department of the Union of Armenians of Russia, told the aforementioned to Armenian News –NEWS.am.

According to him, the rest of the auto service attackers are persons of different nationalities: Lettish, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Russian and Tatarian. “The identities of all eight masked people, who fired at Armenian boys, are known. One of them was detained in literally two hours. Another one will be detained tomorrow. The others are wanted. Serious work is being carried out,” Dalaryan said. In his words, on the side of the victims, all the six Armenians are from Armenia’s Vanadzor city, one being from Armavir town.   

The criminal “drama” occurred in Salavat, Russia in the night of Thursday.  A group of masked men came to an auto service and fired at seven Armenians. One of the shooters was an Azeri. The owner of the auto service, Arthur Sargsyan, 36, died in the central city hospital of Slavat from a bullet wound to his head. The victims A. Voskanyan, T. Voskanyan, S. Grigoryan, M. Malomyan, A. Avetyan and A. Akulyan are still in hospital. M. Malomyan, A. Avetyan and A. Akulyan are still in a critical condition and remain in the intensive care unit.
