YEREVAN. - In 2015-16, Armenia will get $4-5 million from Japan for protection against landslides, Armen Yeritsyan, Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, said today in the parliament.
He reminded that 3-4% of Armenia’s territory is in a zone subject to destruction from landslides. In order to improve protection against them, the republic is cooperating with Japanese partners. “Our colleagues will send us the necessary equipment and prepare our workers in the framework of technical support,” the Minister said.
