All the names of the eight casualties in the passenger bus that crashed in Tula Oblast (province), Russia, en route from Moscow to Yerevan, are not known.

Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia representative at the Embassy of Armenia in Moscow, Artak Ghazaryan, who is at the crash site, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As of 3:05pm, the names of five of the dead are known; they are Gagik Hakobyan, Hrach Badalyan, Gagik Stepanyan, Vaghush Stepanyan, and Spartak Nalbandyan.

Director of the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry, Hovhannes Khangeldyan, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the governmental commission, which has been set up in connection with this tragic road accident, is ascertaining additional information on the passengers who lost their lives.

The passenger bus, which was traveling from Moscow to Yerevan, had the accident on Tuesday at around 2:10am, nearby Ilinka village in the Uzlovsky District in Tula Oblast, Russia.

There were 59 passengers on the bus.

At present, there are reports on eight casualties and 48 injured.

All the injured were taken to the nearby hospitals.

A technical malfunction in the vehicle is considered a probable cause of this tragedy.

There is also a possibility that the bus driver might have fallen asleep behind the steering wheel.
