YEREVAN. - Nicaragua has a new Ambassador to Armenia. The newly-appointed Ambassador Juan Ernesto Vasquez Araya (residence in Moscow) handed over copies of his credentials to Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian today.

Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment, FM Nalbandian said that Armenia is interested in developing ties with Nicaragua, expressing hope that the Ambassador would contribute to the enhancement of bilateral cooperation during his mission, Armenia’s MFA press-service reports.

Thanking for the reception and good wishes, the Ambassador of Nicaragua to Armenia said that during his diplomatic mission he will do his best to deepen the cooperation with Armenia in different fields.

During the meeting, issues on the establishment of political dialogue, creation of a legal framework, fostering of trade and economic cooperation were discussed. The sides also touched on a range of pressing regional and international issues.
