YEREVAN. - The traditional telebridge organized for the Armenian peacekeepers, taking part in peacemaking operations, as well as their family members took place today in Armenia’s MFA. The telebridge is held from November 2 to 6 in the framework of 9th NATO week activities launched in Armenia.  

In his video message, Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan welcomed and thanked the Armenian peacekeepers participating in peacemaking operations in Kosovo and Afghanistan. He also attached importance to their role in ensuring international peace and security.

Armenia’s Deputy FM Ashot Hovakimyan attached importance to the participation of Armenian peacekeepers and their contribution to the establishment of international peace and security. He also thanked the Armenian peacekeepers and their family members for devotion.

Armenia’s Deputy Defense Minister Ara Nazaryan said that the participation of Armenian peacekeepers in these missions contributes to raising the honor and reputation of Armenia, thus contributing to the enhancement of security in Armenia.

U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Mr. Richard Mills, France’s Ambassador Mr. Jean-Francois Charpentier, German Embassy Chargé d'Affaires Ms Nadia Lichtenberger, UK Ambassador Judith Margaret Farnworth and NATO South Caucasus Liaison Officer William Lahue also extended their greetings and warmest wishes.

Representatives of German and U.S. headquarters and Armenian officers also extended their greetings and words of gratitude.
