YEREVAN. – Nicaragua’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Juan Ernesto Vásquez Araya—whose diplomatic residence is in Moscow—, on Wednesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

First, Sargsyan congratulated the ambassador for commencing his diplomatic mission in Armenia and wished him success, informed the Press Office of the President. He also expressed the hope that Araya, as Nicaragua’s first ambassador to Armenia, will have a significant contribution to the development of interstate ties.

The Nicaraguan diplomat, for his part, assured that his country is interested in the development of relations with Armenia Araya added that he will do everything possible—during his tenure as Nicaragua’s Ambassador to Armenia—to strengthen bilateral ties.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors discussed the avenues for expanding relations and cooperation between the two countries.
