YEREVAN. - The initiative of creating incident investigation mechanisms in the Karabakh conflict zone is a good idea, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Ambassador Herbert Salber told Armenian News – NEWS.am after the meeting with Karabakh FM Karen Mirzoyan in Yerevan today.  

Overall, in his words, when the question refers to conflicts, engaging the international community is a good idea. But, according to Mr Salber, at the moment this is very difficult to do with regard to Karabakh issue. “In case of the given scenario, I have no illusions about this. But we must work in the direction of establishing such mechanisms,” he said.
