YEREVAN. – The North Atlantic Alliance [i.e. NATO] plays no role in the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills noted the abovementioned at Friday’s talk with the students at the Armenian State Pedagogical University, and within the framework of the NATO Week in capital city Yerevan.

The American diplomat, as a representative of one of the countries engaged in the settlement of this matter, noted that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can be resolved solely through talks.

Mills added that the respective internationally-recognized negotiation format is the OSCE Minsk Group, and it works with Armenian and Azerbaijani governments.
