YEREVAN. - We hope to settle accounts with the farmers for the grape before New Year, President of Ararat Brandy Factory Ltd. Sargis Varzhapetyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am during the visit of the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to the factory.  

According to him, if in 2014 the factory bought 5,1 thousand tones of grape, in 2015 the amount rose to 8,3 thousand.

“We didn’t need that much. And we faced issues with grape sale in the Russian and Ukrainian markets due to the fall in ruble and crisis situation respectively. But nevertheless, we bought more, considering the condition of the farmers’ so that they could sell their harvest,” he said.
